I'm a USM graduate in 1994. I joined the School of Medical Sciences USM in 2005 from the MOH after obtaining a Master of Community Medicine (Epidemiology & Biostatistics) in 2002. As a lecturer, I'm coordinating the public health curriculum for the medical undergraduate. Currently, the President of SAHABAT, an NGO affiliate of Malaysian AIDS Council.
INTERESTS
Research interests are epidemiology/public health aspects of communicable diseases, i.e trends and risk among HIV/AIDS key populations (drug users, MSM, transgender etc) as well as TB contact management and high-risk groups. The next PhD-supervision project will be on the preparedness of hospital/healthcare settings in future pandemics.
