BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Wan Nur Amalina Zakaria is a Genetic Pathologist and Medical Lecturer at the Human Genome Centre, School of Medical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). She obtained her MBBCh from Alexandria University, Egypt, in 2012 and later pursued her Master of Pathology (Medical Genetics) at USM, graduating in 2021.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Dr. Wan Nur Amalina Zakaria's research focuses on genetic variations in neurodevelopmental disorders. During her Master of Pathology training, she studied Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms (SNPs) linked to Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, Vitamin D, and Obesity. She also serves as Quality Manager for MS ISO 15189 accreditation at the Genetic Laboratory, Human Genome Centre, ensuring excellence in diagnostic services.
