BIOGRAPHY
After receiving her B. Eng. in Manufacturing Engineering from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2004, she has gained more than 13 years of experience in research and teaching, primarily focusing on robotics and automation technology. Her research expertise are rehabilitation robotics, and human-robot interaction (HRI). She also has four years of experience at Dept. of Higher Education where she managed Dana Penyelidikan Fundamemental for MOHE.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Ts. Dr. Syamimi's research focuses on the design, development, and evaluation of human-robot interaction (HRI) technologies for healthcare. This includes rehabilitation robotics, socially assistive robots, and intelligent service robots for ageing are. She is currently volunteering as Executive Committee for the Malaysia Robotics and Automation Society (MyRAS) and Malaysia Association of Research Managers and Administrators (MyRMA).
