BIOGRAPHY
His international research experience includes tenures as a Visiting Researcher at the High Voltage Laboratory, Kyushu Institute of Technology (2013–2014), and at the Chiba Institute of Technology, Japan (February 2020). He is a registered Professional Engineer (PEng) with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and a Member of the Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM). In 2006, he received the Chatterton Young Investigator Award from IEEE ISDEIV
RESEARCH INTERESTS
His research interests include the insulation properties of oil palm, solid dielectric materials, and environmentally benign gases, as well as partial discharge detection techniques for the diagnosis of power apparatus and electrical machines. He is also actively involved in studying nanocomposite dielectrics for HV insulation, electrical discharges, and thermal and short-circuit electromagnetic analysis of busbar and HVDC systems.
