BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Hasnida Binti Ab Samat is a senior lecturer at the School of Mechanical Engineering, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). She is also the Programme Chairman for the Bachelor of Manufacturing Engineering with Management. Dr. Hasnida has been with USM since 2016. She holds a PhD, Master’s, and Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing-related fields from USM. She is certified in Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt and has supervised many PhD students.

RESEARCH INTERESTS

Dr. Hasnida’s research focuses on improving how manufacturing systems work. Her main areas of interest are: - Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma - Quality and productivity improvement - Process and operations management - Industrial performance measurement - Strategy and knowledge management in manufacturing
