BIOGRAPHY
Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Azlina Ahmad is a molecular cell biologist at the School of Dental Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia. Her research focuses on stem cell biology, regenerative medicine, and biomaterials, with particular emphasis on dental stem cells, angiogenesis, and scaffold-based tissue repair. She has published widely and led projects translating laboratory findings into clinical applications.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
My research focuses on stem cells and regenerative medicine, especially using dental stem cells and natural scaffolds such as the human amniotic membrane for tissue repair. I also work on bone regeneration and the development of biomaterial-based strategies for clinical applications. Overall, my goal is to bridge basic biology with practical solutions for dental, bone, and soft tissue healing.
