BIOGRAPHY
Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Mohamad Fared Murshed is a Senior Lecturer and researcher in Environmental Engineering, specializing in water treatment, biofilm control, and sustainable technologies. With over 45 publications and international grants, his work bridges academic innovation with real-world impact, including pioneering HF-EMF systems for microbial control in water reuse.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
My research focuses on sustainable water and wastewater treatment technologies, including biofilm control in recirculating systems using high-frequency electromagnetic fields (HF-EMF), and the development of advanced adsorbents and natural coagulants. I also explore geospatial and machine learning approaches for environmental monitoring, particularly the use of multivariate composite remote sensing indices to predict various climate events.
