BIOGRAPHYSyakir is a socio-environmental systems scientist specializing in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) & carbon footprint analysis, focusing on quantifying the environmental impacts of industrial operations and community-based systems. His research strategically integrates watershed science, ecosystem services, and carbon management to deliver data-driven solutions that advance low-carbon development and strengthen climate resilience in tropical regions
RESEARCH INTERESTSDr. Syakir’s research focuses on advancing climate resilience through Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and carbon footprint analysis, applying systems-level modeling to evaluate and mitigate environmental impacts across sectors. He applied socio-environmental system principles in his research & consultancy project i.e., agriculture, platform decommissioning, and wastewater systems, to develop a low-carbon model tailored to tropical contexts.
