BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Asyraf graduated his Bachelor and Master degree from School of Bioscience and Biotechnology, UKM majoring in environmental microbiology. He has 4 year working experiences in industry that related to industrial microbiology and biomass conversion into bioproducts (fuel and fine chemicals) via bioconversion technology. He completed his PhD in Microalgae Bioprocess Engineering at Monash University, Melbourne Australia.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Dr. Asyraf’s main research interests are in industrial microbiology, phycoremediation, biological carbon capture by microorganisms, microalgal bioprocess and biofeedstock bioconversion technologies for biofuel/fine chemicals. He is also working on a project related to manipulation of microorganism for production of high-value metabolites for antimicrobial and anticancer agents.
