BIOGRAPHY
Lim Gin Keat, was born in Penang. After completing his Malaysia Higher Education Certificate in 1998, he was enrolled into Universiti Putra Malaysia. He completed his B. Sc. (Honours) in Chemistry and M. Sc. in Natural Products Chemistry in 2002 and 2005, respectively. After few years of working, he was offered an opportunity by the Malaysian Government to further his Ph. D. in Cardiff University, Wales, United Kingdom, majoring in Powder XRD.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
His publications were mainly on crystal structure determination from powder XRD data. Currently, his research interests are structure determination of organic materials using powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) data; new materials preparation from solid-state/solventless green chemistry processes (mechanochemical synthesis); extraction, isolation and structure elucidation of natural products from Malaysian plants; and Malaysia street foods analysis.
