BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Taksiah obtained her PhD at the University of Liverpool, UK in the research area of structural dynamics. In 1996, she started her career at Universiti Sains Malaysia as a lecturer in the Structural Engineering Group. She was appointed as Deputy Dean Academic from 2013 - Jan 2017 and a Dean from 2017 – Dec 2021. She is currently the Coordinator of the Disaster Research Nexus, Universiti Sains Malaysia since 2010.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Dr. Taksiah's research areas of interest are earthquake engineering, wind engineering and disaster risk management. She is also involved in many research and consultancy works.
