BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Ng specializes in wide band gap semiconductors and metal oxides. In 2018, he was a Visiting Research Scholar at UC Santa Barbara under Nobel laureate Prof. Shuji Nakamura. He is an Associate Editor of IEEE Photonics Technology Letters, a Senior Member of Optica, and holds memberships in several professional societies. Dr. Ng has reviewed over 100 papers for reputable journals.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Dr. Ng research focuses on metal-organic chemical vapour deposition of III-nitride semiconductor materials for light emitting, solar cells, and ultraviolet (UV) photodetector applications. He is also working on the low-cost synthesis of gallium nitride and indium nitride as well as transparent conducting gallium oxide using the sol-gel spin coating and e-beam techniques for optoelectronic applications.
