BIOGRAPHY
Professor Azura A. Rashid, a leading expert in rubber engineering and Latex Technology from Universiti Sains Malaysia. She holds a Ph.D. in Rubber Engineering from Queen Mary University of London in collaboration with Tun Abdul Razak Research Centre, UK, and a B.Tech. in Polymer Technology from USM. A Chartered Engineer with over 20 years of experience in polymer science, rubber composites, and sustainable latex innovations.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Prof. Azura's research focuses on sustainable polymer science with a specialization in natural rubber and latex-based materials. Her work bridges fundamental formulation science with applied innovation. She leads multidisciplinary efforts to develop eco-friendly, safety-oriented rubber products that emphasize the utilization of local resources, biodegradability, and regulatory compliance.
