BIOGRAPHY
I graduated from The University of Tokyo Japan with a doctorate degree in architectural engineering in 1994. I worked as post-doctoral research fellow at Institute of Industrial Science (Seiken) of The University of Tokyo from 1994-1995. I then joined Taiyo Kogyo as research engineer from 1995 to 1997. In between 1995 to 1999, I spend a year at Institute of Structural Mechanics (Institut fuer Baustatik) of University of Stuttgart Germany.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
My research interests center around computational and experimental analysis on shell & spatial structures. I am particularly interested in mimicking idea from nature for possible application to shape, topology or configuration of structure.
