BIOGRAPHY
Ahmad Fauzi Abdul Hamid is Professor of Political Science, School of Distance Education, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Penang, Malaysia, and former Visiting Professor, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), Malaysia. He has held Visiting Fellowships with RSIS, NTU, Singapore; ISEAS–Yusof Ishak Institute, Singapore; SEARCCT, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Malaysia and Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies, UK.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
My research interests lie broadly within the field of political Islam in Southeast Asia, although I venture once in while to look at other regions such as the Middle East and South Asia, with reference in particular to their links with SEA and especially Malaysia. My research covers both contemporary and historical dimensions, leading to my contributing to journals and books published by ISEAS, NUS Press, Oxford UP, Routledge, Springer, Blackwell
