BIOGRAPHYI graduated with an MSc in Genetics and Molecular Biology and was awarded a PhD in Cancer Biology and Oncology. With my expertise in molecular and cancer biology, I have previously employed in vitro 2D cultured cancer models to explore potential natural products as anticancer agents, particularly in colorectal cancer as well as to study the roles of SNPs in MMPs to reduce the invasiveness of breast cancer via various molecular techniques.
RESEARCH INTERESTSBased on my research experiences, my research interests are currently focused on the topics below:
- Comprehensive exploration of natural coumarins as potential anticancer against for breast and colorectal cancers using 3D culture models
- Development of patient-derived breast tumor organoids as clinically relevant in vitro models
- Identification of biomarkers in liquid biopsy for early stratification of patients with metastatic breast cancer
