BIOGRAPHY
Associate Professor Dr Zurina Hassan is a university lecturer at the Centre for Drug Research (CDR), Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang, Malaysia. She has been appointed as Visiting Scientist at the National Neuroscience Institute (NNI), Singapore and a Temporary Advisor of the Expert Committee on Drug Dependence (ECDD) at WHO headquarters, Geneva, Switzerland. In 2021, she was awarded the Georg Foster Research Award by AvH foundation.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Neuroplasticity, electrophysiology and animal behaviour in addiction and neurodegenerative disease.
