BIOGRAPHY
Norfatirah began joining USM in 2021 as a postdoctoral fellow and recently become a Senior Lecturer in Industrial Chemistry at the School of Chemical Sciences. Her research focuses on organic synthesis and photophysical study for the development of organic fluorophores She is also involved in polymer latex and rubber modification research. In addition, she has a strong interest in product-oriented and application-driven research.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
My research interest are the applications of organic fluorophores for producing white light emission and developing fluorescence-based sensors. I also interested in research that explores polymer latex and rubber modifications, such as antimicrobial Natural Rubber Latex, wearable-based sensor latex, and reinforced nitrile rubber/silicate composites. In addition, I have a strong interest in product-oriented and application-driven research.
