BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Ezzeddin is a Lecturer and Researcher at the School of Health Sciences, USM. His qualifications are a Ph.D. in Computational Biology, an M.Sc. in Bioinformatics, and a B. Eng. in Computer Systems. He possesses strong technical skills and experience in computer science (optimization, machine learning, and AI), bioinformatics (sequence analysis, structure prediction, & DB), and immuno-informatics (analysis of epitope, allele, and PC) research.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Applications of bioinformatics, machine learning, and AI in the fields of biology and health sciences. Examples of completed projects: development of oligo-saccharide molecular viewer; prediction of CpG islands and promoters; evaluations of B- & T-cell epitopes in TB; metagenomic analysis of the respiratory microbiome in TB patients; classifications of mammograph images on breast cancer; and prediction of chimeric SARS-CoV-2 S protein structures.
