BIOGRAPHY
Dr Zakuan Zainy Deris (MD, MPath, PhD) is a Professor and Senior Consultant in Medical Microbiology. He is currently Head of Department of Medical Microbiology and Parasitology, School of Medical Sciences. His research interests are on clinical microbiology, antimicrobial resistance and antimicrobial pharmacology.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
His research interests are clinical microbiology especially on antimicrobial resistance, antimicrobial pharmacology and respiratory infections during Hajj pilgrimage. He contributed to more than 50 scientific manuscripts in these areas and had graduated more than 15 post-graduate candidates.
