She has been working on Nitrides since 2003. To date, Norzaini has graduated several Malaysian students, particularly, in the field of nitride epitaxy, all of whom are now working at high-tech semiconductor companies. She has also collaborated with leading groups in nitrides worldwide. RESEARCH INTERESTS Currently, Norzaini and her team are focusing on developing Al(Ga)N and GaN as base layers for ultraviolet (UV) and visible LEDs through epitaxial technology using metal-organic chemical vapor deposition techniques. The team also designs and develops LEDs operating in the UV and green spectral region. The research is within her collaboration framework with several Nitrides leading groups across the world.
