BIOGRAPHYI am a Consultant and Specialist in Orthodontics and a lecturer at the School of Dental Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) since 1999. With over 25 years of experience, I specialise in orthognathic surgery, cleft lip and palate, and obstructive sleep apnea. I have graduated over 30 PhD and MSc students and published nearly 80 scientific manuscripts. I am also actively involved in research, academic reviews, and community programs.
RESEARCH INTERESTSMy research focuses on craniofacial growth, orthodontic biomaterials, and obstructive sleep apnea treatment. I study skeletal malocclusions, orthognathic surgery outcomes, and genetic influences on malocclusion. I also explore AI-driven orthodontics, CBCT imaging, and 3D modeling to enhance diagnosis and treatment planning.
