BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Nik Akmar Rejab is a materials researcher specializing in ceramic matrix composites (CMCs) with a strong focus on the processing, microstructure, and mechanical behavior of oxide-based ceramics. Ph.D. in Materials Engineering from Universiti Sains Malaysia, where the research concentrated on the development of toughened zirconia-toughened alumina (ZTA) systems for high-performance applications.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
• Ceramic matrix composites (CMCs) and their mechanical, thermal, and microstructural properties • Processing and sintering techniques for advanced ceramics (e.g., cold and hot pressing) • Toughening mechanisms in oxide and non-oxide ceramics • Nanostructured ceramic materials and reinforcement using nanoparticles or whiskers • High-temperature applications of structural ceramics (e.g., automotive, defense)
