BIOGRAPHYI started working in the science field as a research assistant for 2 years following graduation from USM (Biomedicine). This opportunity enables me to acquire knowledge of various molecular biology techniques, ranging from gene manipulation in a bacterial system (E. coli) to basic animal study. During my postgraduate studies, I worked on elucidating molecular mechanisms involved in cancer drug resistance, focusing on ovarian cancer models.
RESEARCH INTERESTSAs a scientist, I am interested in natural products and their impact on cancer (drug-sensitive and drug-resistant cancers), using both in vivo and in vitro models. I am intrigued by their molecular mechanisms and regulations in cancer. I would also like to explore the usage of omics in cancer research. As an academician, I am interested in optimising engagement with students during the teaching and learning process to improve knowledge transfer.
