BIOGRAPHY
She has been appointed as Head of Paediatric Dentistry Unit at School of Dental Sciences from 2004 until 2009. She joined AMDI in 2009 and has served as Head of the Craniofacial and Biomaterial Sciences Cluster, Advanced Medical and Dental Institute, USM in 2010, then 2016 until 2021, and currently served as Paediatric Dentistry Consultant at USM Medical Centre, Bertam.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
She has research interests in biomaterials particularly bioactive glasses involving composition tuning and modification, BG development into 2D and 3D scaffolds combining biodegradable polymers, ceramics and metallic restorations. She is also involved in biomaterials testing and other composites towards in vitro involving stem cells and primary dental pulp cells, and in vivo small animal studies.
