BIOGRAPHY
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tan Soon Huat received his BEng and MEng degrees in Chemical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. He obtained his EngD degree from Sejong University, Seoul, Korea in the field of Nano and Advanced Materials Engineering. He is a member of the Board of Engineers Malaysia.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
My research interests include purification, functionalization and applications of carbon nanotubes into polymer composites. The primary goal of his research is to produce carbon nanotubes/polymer nanocomposites with catalytic, sorption, and permeation properties. The nanocomposites could be applied as catalytic membranes for pervaporation, solar vapour evaporation and air filter processes.
