BIOGRAPHY
Before joining USM as an academician, I served as an entomologist for Malaysia's Ministry of Health, gaining invaluable experience in applied entomology and public health. This provided insights into wildlife ecology and human health intersections, shaping my ecosystem services research and human-wildlife conflict studies in urban areas. I am committed to bridging science and policy through government consultancy and international collaborations.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
My research examines ecological relationships between wildlife and human systems within a One Health framework. I specialize in bat ecology, reproductive biology, and ecosystem services. I investigate the role of insectivorous bats in agricultural pest control, urban wildlife management, and climate change adaptation, while translating findings into practical conservation solutions through policy consultation and community outreach.
