BIOGRAPHYDr. Khairunnuur’s research focuses on neurophysiology and the neuroprotective potential of natural compounds, particularly in the context of neuroinflammation, neurodegeneration, and cognitive ageing. She contributes to multiple interdisciplinary and translational research projects, supervises postgraduate students in related fields, and collaborates internationally to advance research on brain health.
RESEARCH INTERESTSDr. Khairunnuur’s research interests lie at the intersection of neurophysiology and behavioural neuroscience, with a strong focus on neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s. She investigates the neuroprotective and cognitive-enhancing effects of nutraceutical compounds on multiple molecular pathways involved in brain ageing. Her work also explores translational strategies to mitigate stress-induced cognitive decline.
