BIOGRAPHY
Anwar Bin Allah Pitchay is an academician in the field of Islamic Finance, with a strong focus on Islamic Social Finance, including Waqf, Zakat, Takaful, and Islamic microcredit. He holds a PhD in Islamic Finance from the International Islamic University Malaysia , an MBA from Universiti Sains Malaysia, and degrees in Finance and Banking from Universiti Teknologi MARA. Currently serving at the School of Management Universiti Sains Malaysia.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
My research interest focuses on Islamic Finance, particularly in the areas of Islamic Social Finance instruments such as Waqf, Zakat, Takaful, and Islamic microcredit. I am especially passionate about exploring how these instruments can be structured to promote poverty alleviation, financial inclusion, and sustainable socio-economic development in line with the objectives of Maqasid al-Shariah.
