BIOGRAPHY AB Abdullah holds the position of Associate Professor since 2014 at the School of Mechanical Engineering USM. He graduated from USM with Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering in 1999, and Master of Science in 2002. He pursues his study and awarded with PhD from Universiti Putra Malaysia in Malaysia in 2013. Licensed as Professional Engineer (PE) by Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) since 2018 and got certified as HRDF trainer since 2021.
RESEARCH INTERESTSMy primary research interest is in the area of lightweighting manufacturing strategies using metal based additive manufacturing and tailor welded blank focusing on part/tool repair and sheet metal application respectively. I am also passion in doing research on formability and springback behavior of similar and dissimilar materials and thickness of sheet metal blank made by friction stir welding and laser welding.
