She also has four years of experience at Dept. of Higher Education where she managed Dana Penyelidikan Fundamemental for MOHE. RESEARCH INTERESTS Ts. Dr. Syamimi's research focuses on the design, development, and evaluation of human-robot interaction (HRI) technologies for healthcare. This includes rehabilitation robotics, socially assistive robots, and intelligent service robots for ageing are. She is currently volunteering as Executive Committee for the Malaysia Robotics and Automation Society (MyRAS) and Malaysia Association of Research Managers and Administrators (MyRMA).
