BIOGRAPHYMy expertise lies in marine fish taxonomy, with a research focus on the Sciaenidae family (croakers) and Southeast Asian ichthyofauna. He has contributed to the discovery and description of new species, including Johnius sasakii, and is actively involved in morphological and molecular phylogenetic studies to understand fish biodiversity and evolutionary relationships.
RESEARCH INTERESTSMy research focuses on marine fish taxonomy, systematics, and molecular phylogeny, particularly within the Sciaenidae family (croakers). Mine is more interested in documenting fish biodiversity through specimen-based surveys, exploring species distribution patterns, and applying DNA barcoding to resolve taxonomic uncertainties in Southeast Asian marine ecosystems.
