BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Khairul Mohd Fadzli Mustaffa is a senior researcher specializing in aptamer development using SELEX and an in silico approach to be used for diagnostics and therapeutics of infectious disease and cancer. His current work focuses on the preclinical development of AptMal, a novel aptamer targeting drug-resistant Plasmodium falciparum, combining in vitro & in vivo safety testing with in silico pharmacokinetic modeling.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
My research is centered on the development of aptamer-based therapeutics and biosensing technologies for infectious diseases, with a particular focus on malaria. This work integrates molecular biology, bioinformatics, and nanotechnology to design and evaluate novel therapeutic agents and diagnostic platforms.
