Abdul Rais was trained in Energy and Climate Change Economics from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Malaysia. His research areas are Tourism Economics, Energy Economics, Environmental Economics, Climate Change Economics, Natural Resource Economics and Impact Analysis (CGE, IO & SAM). Prior to joining USM, he was a Junior Researcher at Institute for Environment and Development (LESTARI, UKM). He is a member of Malaysian Environmental Economic
