BIOGRAPHY
Abdullah Aziz Saad is an associate professor in the USM School of Mechanical Engineering. He received his PhD in mechanical engineering from the University of Nottingham UK in 2012 and has been a lecturer at USM since then. He has also been the department's Deputy Dean and is actively involved with student activities and welfare. He regularly teaches undergraduate courses in applied mechanics, such as solid mechanics and engineering dynamics.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
His research interests include mechanics of materials (plasticity, creep, and fatigue), finite element analysis, and electronic packaging, with a focus on the mechanical behaviour of lead-free solders and electronics materials. He also likes to take part in NGO activities that promote education and help people who are less fortunate. In his spare time, he will support local sports activities such as football, badminton, cycling etc.
