BIOGRAPHY
My research group is based in the School of Chemical Engineering, Universiti Sains Malaysia, and we take a multidisciplinary approach to addressing key challenges in health, food, and environmental sustainability. My research is driven by the need for eco-friendly solutions and increased public awareness of environmental issues, particularly the impact of pollution on ecosystems and human health.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
My areas of interest include green extraction of bioactive compounds from Asian herbs and other natural sources, developing biodegradable scaffolds from natural polymers, enhancing the bioavailability of natural compounds for drug delivery and therapeutic applications, synthesizing biocompatible hydrogels and creating cross-linking agents to modify natural polymer properties, and biosynthesis of nanoparticles
