BIOGRAPHY

I obtained my first degree in B.Sc. Biotechnology from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). After completing my Master's degree (Industrial Biotechnology) at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), I continued my PhD studies in the same field and completed them in 2010. In November 2010, I joined the Bioprocess Technology Division at the School of Industrial Technology as a lecturer. I am proud to have been promoted to Associate Professor in 2021

Research Interests 1) Microbial enzyme production via solid-state fermentation 2) Oligosaccharide production and purification 3) High-value Secondary metabolites from microalgae. 4) Microalgae cultivation and harvesting 5) Thermoplastic starch from microalgae and non-edible crops 6) Biological treatment of biomass
