BIOGRAPHY

Dr.Sharifah Emilia is a senior consultant pathologist and associate professor at Pathology Department HUSM. Other than soft tissue and bone tumour pathology, she also active in other research projects which includes , breast cancer, colorectal , and head and neck pathology. She is one of authors in Head and Neck Pathology (nasopharyngeal carcinoma, head, and neck pathology malignancies ) and cytopathology atlas on gynae-pathology.

INTERESTS

Soft tissue tumour and bone tumour pathology is my main field of interest. Others are general histopathology, breast, GIT , Head and Neck Pathology. The ongoing research are on sarcoma, bone allograft, HPV DNA on cervical smear and modelling an environmental-friendly protocol for disposing of formalin-fixed pathological specimens .
