BIOGRAPHY
Widad Ismail is a pioneering professor renowned for her groundbreaking contributions to the field of electronic and electrical engineering. In 2008, she founded the groundbreaking Auto-ID Laboratory (AIDL), the nation's first fully commercialized laboratory specializing in bringing sophisticated technology-based Auto-ID products and solutions such as RFID, sensors, IoT, and WSN to market. She is a certified professional engineer.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Her research focuses on wireless system design, Auto-ID Technology, Internet of Anything (IoA), active integrated antennas (AIA), and RF and microwave systems engineering. Her groundbreaking research has resulted in 8 granted and 1 filed patents, copyrights, 12 international awards, and the commercialization of 5 main research products. Dr. Ismail's publications, totaling more than 200, including international journal papers, conference/seminar.
