BIOGRAPHY

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ch’ng Ewe Seng is an Associate Professor and Consultant Anatomical Pathologist at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), with a special interest in diagnostic breast pathology. His research focuses on breast cancer pathology, molecular pathology, biomarkers and tumour microenvironment, with additional interests in cytopathology, digital pathology and artificial intelligence in pathology.

RESEARCH INTERESTS

My research interests centre on diagnostic breast pathology and breast cancer pathology, with particular emphasis on the biological and molecular features of breast cancer and their relevance to pathological diagnosis and clinical management. My work includes the investigation of breast cancer biomarkers, tumour microenvironment, immunohistochemistry, HER2 testing, molecular alterations, transcriptomic profiles and microRNA regulation.
