BIOGRAPHY

I was appointed a lecturer at the School of Humanities, USM in 2005. I teach courses in Modern Middle East and North African History, Muslim World History & Historiography, and Asian Intellectual History. For the postgraduate research students, I supervise all topics related to the History of international affairs and diplomacy in Asia, Intellectual history (history of ideas), as well as Islamic History and Historiography.

INTERESTS

My main interest is focusing on research related to the International & Diplomatic History of Asia, Modern Middle East & North African History, (particularly a history of the Arab-Israeli Conflict ), Islamic History & Historiography, History of Ideas and British Foreign Policy in the Islamic World.
