BIOGRAPHY

I am a Senior Lecturer in Occupational Therapy at Universiti Sains Malaysia and Founder of the USM–MAIK Disability Transformation Centre. With over 30 years of experience, I initiated and led various disability empowerment programs including, early childhood intervention, community-based rehabilitation, and assistive technology. I've been appointed as the National Council member for People with Disabilities.

RESEARCH INTERESTS

My research focuses on disability transformation, inclusive community development, and sustainable rehabilitation ecosystems. My scholarly work integrates clinical expertise, social innovation, and policy engagement to promote functional independence and economic participation among persons with disabilities. My research philosophy emphasises translational impact — converting evidence-based practice into scalable, community-driven solutions.
