BIOGRAPHY
I have been a medical physics lecturer in the Medical Radiation Program, School of Health Sciences, USM, since 2014. I teach the fundamentals of physics to medical radiation students, covering topics such as Newtonian physics, vibrations, waves and optics, quantum physics, solid state physics, electricity and magnetism. Additionally, I serve as the coordinator for medical radiation industrial training and the advisor for PSSCM, USM Health Campus.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
My research focuses on applying physics principles, methods, and instruments to medicine. I am particularly interested in: 1) medical image analysis and quantification (SPECT, MRI, X-ray, CT, etc.), 2) photonic devices for radiation detection, and 3) biophotonics for sensing, imaging, and therapy. In 2013, I had the opportunity to join the International Graduate Summer School in Biophotonics, where I learned from leading experts in the field.
