BIOGRAPHY
I am a medical physics lecturer at Medical Radiation programme, School of Health Sciences, USM since 2014. I teach fundamental of physics for medical radiation students, which comprise of selected topics in physics particularly Newtonian physics, vibration, waves & optics, quantum physics, solid state physics, electricity, and magnetism. Besides that, I am a coordinator for industrial training and advisor for PSSCM USM Health Campus.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
My research interests are on the application of physics principles, methods and instruments in medicine, particularly 1) medical image processing, analysis and quantification (SPECT, MRI, CT etc), 2) photonic devices for radiation detection, and 3) biophotonics for sensing, imaging and therapy. In 2013, I had an opportunity to attend the International Graduate Summer School Biophotonics, an intensive course delivered by experts in biophotonics.
