BIOGRAPHY
I have been a medical physics lecturer in the Medical Radiation Programme, School of Health Sciences USM, since 2014. I teach the fundamentals of physics to medical radiation students, covering topics such as Newtonian physics, vibrations, waves and optics, quantum physics, solid state physics, electricity and magnetism. Additionally, I serve as the coordinator for medical radiation industrial training and the advisor for PSSCM USM Health Campus.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
My research focuses on applying physics principles, methods and instruments to medicine and health. I am particularly interested in: 1) medical image analysis and quantification (SPECT, MRI, X-ray, CT etc.), 2) photonic devices for radiation detection and 3) biophotonics for sensing, imaging and therapy. In 2013, I had the opportunity to join the International Graduate Summer School Biophotonics, where I learned from leading experts in the field.
