I received my BSc., MSc., and PhD in Biology from Universiti Sains Malaysia and is currently a senior lecturer at the School of Health Sciences, USM. I lecture in medical microbiology and infectious diseases to undergraduates and postgraduate students. My professional endeavour has been in the area that contributes to the health and well-being of the community.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
My major research interest is in food and waterborne diseases, natural product anti-cancer and antimicrobial properties, and in neglected zoonosis in humans. I enjoy reading history, comparative religion and health related subjects. I usually fullfill my free time by fitness exercises, sports and watching movies with families.
