BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Norhaniza Amil is a professional technologist and lecturer at USM with a Ph.D. in Environmental Science and a Master’s in Safety Science. Her research covers PM, VOCs, aerosol, particle number, IAQ, and occupational risk management. She leads cross-sectoral projects with industry, government, and global partners, integrating monitoring, lab analysis, and risk assessment to advance air quality and environmental health solutions.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Dr. Norhaniza’s research spans atmospheric science, environmental health, and occupational safety. She focuses on PM2.5, VOCs, and aerosol particle number to assess source apportionment and health risks of indoor and outdoor air pollution, including cooking and biomass emissions. Her work applies chemical analysis, receptor modeling, and risk assessment to support science-based policy and sustainable air quality management.
