BIOGRAPHY
My journey in higher education sector began since 2002, across both private and public institutions. My research has taken me across the SEA region and has been supported by generous grants from SEASREP, Mahidol University, the Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation, and the Sumitomo Foundation. Along the way, I’ve published my work in prestigious journals such as Modern Asian Studies, Pacific Affairs, Inter-Asia Cultural Studies, EASTS, IJAPS, and JMBRAS.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
My research explores the intersection of health, welfare, medicine, nationalism, modernity and politics of body. In recent years, I have expanded my research to include politics of heritage and memory, investigating socio-political and cultural dynamics from both historical and contemporary perspectives. My geographical focus encompasses Malaysia, Southeast Asia, and East Asia.
