BIOGRAPHY

Assoc. Prof. Sr. Dr. Ruhizal Roosli is a scholar & professional building surveyor. He was appointed as a Post-Doctoral Fellow of the Ministry of Higher Education at the School of Arts and Social Sciences, Monash University and Fellowship for Climate Action by the India Anant National University. He has received a prestigious award of the Japanese Award for Outstanding Research on Development from the Government of Japan.

RESEARCH INTERESTS

Research in the areas of development planning; housing studies; disaster management; and post-disaster reconstruction in normal and emergency situation, addressing sustainable development and climate change challenges. He is active in implementing Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) practices and a registered professional member with the ESG Malaysia. He teaches mixed approaches and application of quantitative & qualitative research methods.
