BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Siti ’Aisyah Baharudin is a Senior Lecturer in Economics at the School of Social Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia. She is known for her professionalism, ethical conduct, and collaborative spirit, with contributions in publications, conferences, media, and policy. She serves as an editorial board member and reviewer, leads research grants, and supervises PhD, Master’s, and FYP students. Outside work, she enjoys her daily cup of coffee.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Her research focuses on Agricultural Economics and Sustainable Development, aligning with the UN SDGs, poverty alleviation, food security, and decent work. She examines smallholder resilience, food security, agricultural productivity, energy efficiency, and socio-economic behavior. Her work also addresses fuel subsidies, consumer behaviour, gender equality, housing affordability, and agrotourism, using interdisciplinary, policy-relevant methods.
