BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Siti ’Aisyah Baharudin is a Senior Lecturer in Economics at the School of Social Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia. Known for her professionalism, she contributes to publications, conferences, media, and policy. She is a member of Persatuan Ekonomi Malaysia and Royal Economic Society, and serves on the editorial board of Jurnal Ekonomi dan Pembangunan. She leads research grants and supervises PhD and Master’s students.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Her research focuses on Agricultural Economics and Sustainable Development, aligning with the UN SDGs, poverty alleviation, food security, and decent work. She examines smallholder resilience, food security, agricultural productivity, energy efficiency, and socio-economic behavior. Her work also addresses fuel subsidies, consumer behaviour, gender equality, housing affordability, and agrotourism, using interdisciplinary, policy-relevant methods.
