BIOGRAPHY

Suet Leng's industry/professional appointments are: Editorial Board member (Journal of Urban Culture Research)(since 2021), Consultative Panel member (George Town World Heritage Incorporated)(2011-2015), Committee member (Pg State Heritage Commissioner's Office)(since 2023), Technical Advisory Panel member (Think City)(since 2015), Committee member (Malaysian Institute of Planners), ForUm-DAAD member (Southeast Asian-German Urban Experts ForUm).

RESEARCH INTERESTS

Suet Leng's research interests are related to creative cities and urban heritage conservation. In 2015, she collaborated with Think City to prepare a baseline study of Penang’s creative and cultural sector. She also partnered with the University of Greenwich, UK to study George Town World Heritage Site’s creative and cultural value chain. In 2018, Suet Leng received a grant from Japan’s Sumitomo Foundation to visit the Creative City of Kanazawa.
