BIOGRAPHY
As a criminologist specialising in territorial functioning and burglary reduction, my research uses mixed methods to examine the impact of territorial demarcations on residential burglaries in Malaysia. I developed a validated model of defensible space applicable to the Malaysian context to inform urban planning and architecture for safer communities.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
My research examines how territorial demarcations in residential areas influence burglary rates in Malaysia. I'm developing a validated model of defensible space adapted to the Malaysian context, incorporating the hierarchy of territorial designations (public, private, semi-public, and semi-private) to inform urban planning and architectural design for safer communities. This research offers practical guidelines for safer residential environments.
